Great Colleges in California

Berkeley is home to one of the oldest universities in California, the University of California Berkeley. The city is also home to the Berkeley City College and the Graduate Theological Union. There is plenty to do in the city that can help enhance your education. Several museums and parks, including the Hearst Greek Theatre, provide hours of entertainment. San Francisco is also only a short drive away. The stimulating environment is as great to locals as it is to students, and many find themselves settling down in the area after attending one of the universities.

The Graduate Theological Union, a consortium of nine independent theological schools, is located a block north of the University of California Berkeley's main campus. The Graduate Theological Union has the largest number of students and faculty of any religious studies doctoral program in the United States. In addition, Berkeley City College is a community college in the Peralta Community College District.
