This cozy city in central New York is
home to Cornell University. The Ivy League school pulls a lot of weight in the
city, inspiring a student-friendly community. The high student population also
comes from Ithaca College, Tompkins Cortland Community College, and Empire
State College. Those who choose to stay in the area after graduation tend to
really value their education. While the area is known for manufacturing,
education and tourism are the backbones of the local economy. The historic area
includes a traditional downtown shopping area with plenty of boutiques,
