Boston is one of
the oldest cities in America and one of the most educated. There is history
around every corner of the large metropolitan area. In terms of education,
there are over 100 colleges and universities in the Boston area, the largest of
which is Boston University. There are several different private schools that
specialize in nearly every subject, allowing students to fine-tune their
education. Because of a combination of tourism and education, the city is able
to provide a mass transit system that services the majority of the
universities. Boston itself is considered a global city, so there are a variety
of different cultural influences seen in local restaurants, businesses, shops
and art galleries. The global environment is perfect for international students
or those who want to open their mind.
